EnBW 497MW in Beihai, planning the construction of offshore wind power project

Recently, offshore wind power project in Beihai EnBW planning to build a 497MW, while SIEMENS will provide Hohe See offshore wind farm project, responsible for the complete development, infrastructure etc.. This is also SIEMENS's first expansion of wind power business category.

The final investment of the project is over, and the project will start in early 2018. The wind farm will be located in the German Borkum island to the north of 90 kilometers, and the water depth of 40 meters place.

71 7-MW SWT-7.0-154 fan in mid 2018, production began in the new SIEMENS Cousteau cabin factory, and in early 2019 to the wind farm in the port. The blades will be shipped from Aalborg, Denmark and the Hull factory in great britain.

In 2016, SIEMENS began to make plans for the EnBW Hohe See wind farm foundation engineering, the design of single pile length is 80 meters, weighing 1500 tons, the fan is firmly fixed at the bottom of the sea.

As for this project, SIEMENS will cooperate with GeoSea, a logistics expert. The company is part of the Deme group, which is responsible for basic transportation, including single piles and components. SIEMENS expands its scope of business and helps reduce investor risk.
